Welcome to the Poway Symphony Orchestra
The Poway Symphony Orchestra is thankful for you continued patronage and support.
The Poway Symphony Orchestra is a semi-professional orchestra that presents classical music concerts at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Three times each season, the group brings live symphonic music to Poway for audiences who come from all over North County Inland. About sixty five musicians under the baton of our seasoned Music Director John LoPiccolo, perform the music at the high artistic level that our patrons have come to expect.
The Poway Symphony Orchestra Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in Poway, was established in 2015 with the sole purpose of supporting the orchestra.
The Orchestra Invites Musicians to Join
The Poway Symphony Orchestra provides great opportunities for qualified musicians to perform in concerts at the highest quality. We welcome musicians of all ages and walks of life to enjoy the experience of making music. Our literature ranges from Classical, Romantic to Contemporary music. The orchestra is looking to expand in numbers and we are especially interested in strengthening the orchestra with additional string players in all string sections.
The orchestra has rehearsal on Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9:15 PM. Performances are usually on Sundays at 4:00PM with dress rehearsals on Saturdays at 10:00AM.
